We want to thank all of our teachers, families, students and surrounding community for such a wonderful year! We ended the year with a little face paint fun! Can you guess who is what?

The season for tadpoles is upon us! We have been taking a lot of nature walks to our pond in this beautiful, warm weather. The children love exploring at the pond on our property. Some of their favorite activities include searching for tadpoles, climbing up the steep hill, finding bugs in and around the pond, picking flowers and making big pots of soup with natural materials they find!

We have been taking advantage of the beautiful, warm weather we have had this last week! The beginning of spring is such a special time of the year on the property because we have so much to discover and explore. We have been going on walks to look for the ‘signs of spring!’ We have found and smelt new plants growing, felt the warmth of the sun, heard the beautiful sounds of the numerous birds, and explored the changes in landscape (like the slowly disappearing mud)!
If you listen closely you may hear the children singing our favorite spring time song, Spring is Here! Here are the words in case you’d like to sing along.
Spring is Here
Spring is here said the bumblebee (high sweet bumblebee voice)
How do you know said the old oak tree (low raspy oak tree voice)
I just saw a daffodil, dancing like a fairy on a windy hill!

We had a very eventful Halloween at Frog Song! The day started off as a normal day, if you can count 15 children dressed in festive costumes as normal!!!
Mid morning family and friends came to our property to do a Halloween trick-or-treating scavenger hunt!!
Then we headed out to Bushue’s Family Farm for our annual pumpkin patch visit! There we got to do all kinds of fun things, including picnicking with some hungry sheep, making dirt babies and riding a tractor to find our very own pumpkins!
We can only hope your Halloween was as fun as ours!!!
