Mindfulness for Parents and Teachers: Saturday May 13th, 9am to 12pm:
This workshop will offer parents and teachers an opportunity to:
-Explore how mindful awareness and neuroscience can support our understanding of children and parenting
-Understand basic principles of child development
-Gain knowledge and skills for mindful parenting
-Practice self-care in the midst of everyday stress and challenges
The workshop will be given by Jean Berg, LCSW. Jean has worked for over 30 years as a social worker, counselor and crisis intervention specialist. She has a passion for bringing mindfulness to her work with children and their caregivers, and facilitates trainings in mindfulness for school districts all over the country.
The workshop will take place in the Frog Song classroom. It is free of charge, but please RSVP since space is limited. We are not able to offer childcare for this event.
